Can I use Antibes in an ultrasonic or reed diffuser?
Not recommended. Antibes is 100% pure fragrance oil with no carrier solvent — ultrasonic diffusers need water-soluble oils, and reed diffusers need a heavy carrier (DPG or alcohol) for capillary travel up the reeds. Pure oil in a reed diffuser will sit at the base of the bottle without travelling; in an ultrasonic, it can clog the piezo plate. For best results, pair it with a Scentiment cold-air diffuser or any other nebulizing diffuser that accepts 100% pure fragrance oil.
How long does each bottle size last?
Run-time depends on diffuser intensity, daily run hours, and room size. As a rough guide on default Medium intensity, 12 hours/day:
- 20 ml — 3–6 weeks (Mini 2 LE)
- 50 ml — 7–10 weeks
- 120 ml — 6–10 weeks (Air 2 / Pro 2)
- 500 ml — 6–9 months (Pro 2 / HVAC 2)
- 1 L — 12–18 months (HVAC 2 / commercial)
Conservative settings stretch each bottle further; auto-replenishment in the Scentiment app ships refills before you run out.
Is Antibes safe for pets, children, and people with allergies?
Yes. Every Scentiment fragrance is IFRA-certified to Category 11 (the strictest air-care tier) and formulated without phthalates, parabens, formaldehyde, California Prop 65 reproductive toxins, and the essential oils most commonly cited as toxic to cats and dogs (tea tree, pennyroyal, pine, wintergreen, sweet birch, concentrated citrus). Cold-air diffusion produces no heat, no combustion byproducts, and no surface residue — important for nurseries, beds, and pet spaces. We disclose all 26 EU Annex III fragrance allergens on each scent’s product page.
Are these essential oils?
No — Scentiment hotel oils are fragrance oils, not essential oils. Essential oils are single-source botanicals (lavender, eucalyptus, etc.); fragrance oils are perfumer-blended compositions designed to deliver a multi-note experience that single botanicals can’t produce. We use both natural extracts and IFRA-compliant synthetics for top-note brightness, base-note longevity, and consistency across batches. They’re not intended for therapeutic / aromatherapy claims.
Will the scent fade or change over time?
Stored upright at room temperature and out of direct sunlight, an unopened bottle holds its character for over three years. After opening, the fragrance is best within 24 months. Heat, UV light, and exposure to air slowly oxidize the top notes — they soften first while base notes (amber, musk, vetiver, sandalwood) hold longer. Tightly close after each refill and store away from windows.
Can I subscribe and save?
Yes — every bottle size of Antibes is eligible for our subscribe-and-save plan. Pick a refill cadence (4, 6, 8, or 12 weeks) at checkout, save 15% per refill forever, and pause / cancel / change scents from your account at any time. The Scentiment app also auto-replenishes based on your diffuser’s run-time data so a bottle arrives the week before you’d otherwise run dry.
What’s the warranty and return policy?
Unopened fragrance oil bottles can be exchanged within 14 days. For hygiene reasons, opened bottles are non-returnable, but we will replace any oil that arrives damaged or that you find dramatically off-profile from how it’s described — write to support@scentiment.com with a photo and your order number. How do I refill or change scents in my diffuser?
Scentiment diffusers ship with a refillable bottle that threads onto the device. To refill: unscrew the bottle, pour Antibes in (don’t fill past the bottle’s shoulder), thread back on, and run a brief 30-second pump cycle. To change scents, run a cleaning cycle with 70% isopropyl alcohol in the empty bottle on High for 5–10 minutes — this clears residual oil from the air channel so the new fragrance comes through clean. The bottle can be rinsed with warm water and a drop of mild dish soap.
Where is Antibes made and tested?
Scentiment fragrance oils are designed by our perfumers in Miami and bottled in the United States. Every batch is tested for IFRA Category 11 compliance, allergen disclosure, and stability before it ships. We never test on animals, and the bottle & cap are recyclable curbside in most municipalities (rinse the bottle with warm water before recycling).
Can I travel with Antibes?
The 20 ml and 50 ml bottles fall under TSA’s 100 ml liquids rule — pack them in your quart-size liquids bag for carry-on, or in checked luggage. The 120 ml, 500 ml, and 1 L bottles must travel in checked baggage only. Internationally, customs treatment varies; we recommend checking the destination country’s restrictions on fragrance oils before travelling. Many of our hotel-stayers travel with the 20 ml so they can scent the room they wake up in.
